About Me

On paper, I’m a computer science and general science teacher based in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. Currently, I am teaching Physics, Pre-Calculus, Astronomy, and 2D Animation 11/12 at Imagine High Integrated Arts and Technology Secondary School, a public school centred on authentic, interdisciplinary, project-based learning. I am on the executive of the British Columbia Science Teachers’ Association (BCScTA) and I am the 2024 recipient of the Gordon Gore Prize for Excellence in Science Teaching from the BC Association of Physics Teachers.

I created this blog while working on my diploma in teacher-librarianship to share my learning, but am trying to revive it to document some things I’m trying out in my classrooms.

When I’m not doing that educator thing, I’m also gaming, reading too many books, writing poetry, drawing comics, making quilts, boxing, fencing, and playing trumpet.
