For this assignment, I was asked to design three logos for my LLC redesign (the TLDR is a bigger focus on design thinking). Here are the three I came up with. As you can tell, they were created in the free version of Freelogodesign.org. If I were to actually have a library and be using one of these logos, I would definitely redraw some of the components myself (or have a student do it), but this works for a quick and dirty mock-up.
This first design tries to include the prototyping, collaboration, creative thinking, and technology aspects of the redesign through the hive. Also, bees are cute and fun. My one concern is that it might be too busy.
Again, we see the prototyping in the gear and creativity in the eye. This time, I included a tagline, “keep iterating”, in keeping with the design thinking ethos. We’ve lost the bee theming in this one.
This is cute. Bees are cute. Bees with hammers are cuter.
